4th Annual Reno Turkish Festival is sponsored and organized by the Sierra Foundation will be held on Sunday, May 22th 2011 at Wingfield Park.
The Turkish Festival is a huge success! More than 1000 people will experience Turkish Arts & Crafts, Calligraphy, Henna, Ebru (Water marbling), Anatolian corner, Folk dancing, Face painting & Cotton candy for kids, Turkish Adana kebab, Shish kebab, Baklava, Salads, Turkish coffee & tea and a musical performance by Mehmet Atay.
The festival will immerse visitors in the sights and sounds of Turkey, old and new. At each set, craftsmen will demonstrate ancient arts such as water marbling, calligraphy and performances of regional music, and dance. The Children Whirling Dervishes and Turkish Folk Dance group will also return with their awe-inspiring performances throughout the day.
